The Real Middle-earth tour

Guided tour of the Anglo-Saxon Village by a member of the Tolkien society and Middle-earth enthusiast explaining the many links between Tolkien and the Anglo-Saxons.  

Lasts up to 2 hours, includes Riddle Battle.

Visit a set from the ‘Born of Hope’ fan film.

£20 per adult (includes admission to Anglo-Saxon Village and parking).  Children £10 each, should be 8yrs or over and must be accompanied. N.B. Minimum total session fee £60.


Ranger of the North Archery experience

A chance to try archery with a longbow like the Rangers of Ithilien.  

Lasts about 1 hour, includes target and distance shooting.

Tuition by qualified archery instructor and Middle-earth enthusiast.

£20 per person (includes all equipment and tuition).  Children should be 12yrs or over

 and must be accompanied. N.B. Minimum total session fee £60.


Pod Hollow visit

Have your own ‘unexpected party’ in the comfort of your Pod Hollow stay.

Arrange a visit from a member of the Tolkien society and Middle-earth enthusiast.  

Lasts 1 to 2 hours depending upon options selected, can include a quiz, activities, or a host of other

options for you to choose from.

£15 per adult, children £10 each (should be 8yrs or over and must be accompanied). Options need to be

selected and time arranged before visit takes place. N.B. Minimum total session fee £50.

The story of Pod Hollow, Hobbiton and New Zealand, Movie replicas, Riddle Battle,

The Middle-earth Adventure

Halbarad the Ranger, a costumed character from The Lord of the Rings as your guide.  

Guided tour of the Anglo-Saxon Village by a member of the Tolkien society explaining the many links between Tolkien and the Anglo-Saxons; includes Riddle Battle.  

Lasts up to 3 hours, includes some Ranger archery.

£40 per adult (includes admission to Anglo-Saxon Village and parking).  Children £20 each, should be 8yrs or over and must be accompanied. N.B.
